Overview

JACRIS stands for Japanese / Australian Catering & Restaurant Information Services Incorporated.

Within the Strong Network in the Non-Commercial Association, we, JACRIS aim to further develop and grow in our Japanese Food Business.

Background

Under the harsh circumstances in Japanese food industry including difficulty of importing and ensuring foods at reasonable prices and succeeding profitable business in Australia these days, a few restaurant owners and a consultant had discussed about the further development of Japanese food industry in Australia and came up to the conclusion: To establish this organization based on the principles below. The organization has been registered officially on 26 November 2007.

Aims

The aims and objectives for which Japanese/Australian Catering & Restaurant Information Services Incorporated has been founded are:

To promote Japanese Quality Cooking awareness to its members and the general public in Australia.
To advance hygiene and safety to its employees and restaurant patrons.
To encourage the recognition of the associations involvement in the industry.
To promote professional recognition and develop ethical awareness and integrity through the associations involvement in Japanese Quality Cooking environments in Australia.
To research and develop food safety procedures and practices through out the industry.
